North Sydney Youth Symphony Performs Again
The North Sydney Youth Symphony Orchestra (NSYS) founded just this year, gives its second concert performing Brahms’ Double Concerto for Violin and Cello, with violinist Sun Yi and cellist James Sang-Oh Yoo.
Formed after the disbanding of the SBS Youth Orchestra, the NSYS was founded by Dr Anthony Lau and Thomas Tsai who will conduct the ensemble.
Violinist Sun Yi is the Associate Concertmaster of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. He has also held many prominent positions in orchestras both in China and Australia, as well as appearing as soloist under internationally renowned conductors.
Cellist James Sang-Oh Yoo won both the 2013 and 2014 Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellowship Positions, a prestigious program for outstanding musicians.
Concluding this concert will be Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 5.
