Opera Australia 60 Year Anniversary Gala
Opera Australia is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year and is marking the occasion with an event in which four maestros lead a program of operatic classics at a Gala Concert featuring some of its biggest stars, the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra and the Opera Australia Chorus — with a special appearance by many of the greatest singers of the past performing in a special 60th Anniversary Chorale.
Nicole Car, José Carbó, Emma Matthews, Milijana Nikolic and Diego Torre inherited the legacy of Sutherland, Carden and so many outstanding singers. Now you have the chance to hear these exhilarating performers singing some of opera’s grandest arias. Featuring conductors Brian Castles-Onion, Tony Legge, Andrea Molino and Simone Young AM, the Masters of Ceremony include Adrian Collette AM, Craig Hassall AM, Lyndon Terracini AM and Donald McDonald AC.
Every ticket sold will help Opera Australia make more of those moments, for another 60 years and beyond.
There is champagne in the foyer on arrival at 5 pm for all ticket holders.
