Boutique opera company Opera Bites has once again partnered with The Castlereagh Boutique Hotel to bring you Turkish Delight an unforgettable evening of fully costumed popular opera complete with a bespoke menu and select fine wines to match. Enter a world of operatic splendour as you step through the doors of this breath-taking heritage listed dining room.
Opera Bites offers a magic carpet ride to 18th century Turkey with Mozart’s Orientalist opera The Abduction from the Seraglio, a rescue opera like no other and rarely performed in Sydney. There are sublime melodies as the heroes, Belmonte and Pedrillo, attempt to rescue their beloveds from the evil clutches of Osmin, the harem keeper.
Don your fez or salwar and join the guard or the harem as this fully costumed production takes you on an exotic journey. Sung in English
