Operantics Gears Up for 2019 With Gala Fundraiser
Independent young artists company, Operantics presents “Opera in the Gallery” with special guest soprano Taryn Fiebig in a Fundraiser Gala in support of their 2019 main stage opera production. Some of Australia’s most exciting young opera singers will perform with the Opera Australia principal.
Operantics promises a thrilling evening of operatic masterpieces with fantastic raffle and silent auction prizes to be won. The concert program will double as a celebration of the company’s past productions, as well as the highly anticipated announcement of their next main stage opera – their most ambitious undertaking yet, in time for the company’s fifth anniversary in 2019. Under the artistic direction of Katie Miller-Crispe, Operantics has provided valuable opportunities to emerging local artists since its inception. The Gala will help to raise crucial funds for its next exciting endeavour in 2019.
Since its first production in 2015, Operantics has established itself as a unique platform for young Australian artists and creatives, while entertaining audiences with affordable and accessible productions spanning a variety of genres. So far the company has featured over 60 talented local artists and has championed two Australian operatic premieres. To supplement the Gala and its larger funding campaign, Operantics’ artists are to be featured in an exciting lineup of events to be announced shortly.
