Resonance Concerts presents The Music of Australia featuring baritone Simon Lobelson and pianists Chris Cartner and David Paterson.
Like Australian culture, music comes from a wide variety of inspirational sources. The Music of Australia captures the spirit of contemporary Australian society. It mixes themes of historical reflection, personal contemplation and a great deal of fun! In these spirited concerts The Music of Australia presents a cross-section of music and songs by contemporary Australian composers Hue Blanes, Calvin Bowman, David Hush, David Paterson and Dan Walker.
Baritone Simon Lobelson, brings these short songs to life celebrating the rich diversity which Australian music today offers. The programme ends in a trio of sea songs written for the novel configuration of baritone and two pianos.
