Commemorate ANZAC Day with the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) performing Reflections on Gallipoli, a multimedia production that weaves music, spoken word and visual imagery to tell the ANZAC story. The ACO reprises this 2015 Helpmann Award-winning multi-media account of courage, stubborn endurance and camaraderie, created by Richard Tognetti and directors Neil Armfield and Nigel Jamieson.

Archived footage and imagery and the spoken letters of Australian and Turkish soldiers are set to the music of Elgar, Bartók and Carl Vine, as well as traditional Turkish folk songs. The concert concludes with Richard Tognetti’s sublime rendition of Vaughan Williams’ pastoral lament, The Lark Ascending, transformed ‘into an elegy for a lost generation’ (The Australian).
