Sirius Ensemble Presents Music, Art And An Australian Premiere

The musicians of Sirius Ensemble present a concert of contemporary works paired with art. The concert includes an Australian premiere.

Melissa Coleman (flute) and Ian Sykes (clarinet) perform a selection of virtuosic solos from Europe and Australia in conjunction with an exhibition by New Zealand-born landscape artist Euan Macleod at Watters Gallery.

As well, Greg van der Struik (trombone) will perform Keren by Iannis Xenakis as well as a new solo by Alan Holley. Ian Sykes will perform Prelude by Krzysztof Penderecki and Melissa Coleman will give the Australian premiere of Vjekoslav Njezic’s Monodie.
