Sir Bryn Terfel To Perform In Sydney

Opera Australia is delighted to announce that the legendary Welsh bass-baritone, Sir Bryn Terfel, will give two concerts in Australia in November 2019, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne.

Accompanied by Orchestra Victoria, Sir Bryn will perform an assortment of his favourite pieces from both operatic and musical repertoire.

Over nearly three decades, Sir Bryn Terfel has established himself as one of the world’s leading bass-baritones. His extraordinary career includes a wide range of performances at the world’s leading opera houses including The Met in New York, the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden and Teatro alla Scala, Milan. He has also expanded his repertoire to musicals, taking on lead roles in Sweeney Todd and Fiddler on the Roof. Among his many accolades include four Grammy Awards, two Classic Brit Awards, a CBE for services to opera, the Queen’s Medal for music and a knighthood for his services to music.

Further performance details will be released in 2019.
