SoundsLikeSydney Launches ‘SoundsClassic’ – A Free Monthly Newsletter collaboration with ClassicMelbourne
SoundsLikeSydney is excited to announce the launch this week of our free monthly newsletter SoundsClassic. Our inaugural edition is packedwith news – we have the ‘wrap’ on Melbourne’s Ring cycle, musings on Christmas music, a Messiah quiz to challenge you, reviews of some of the many CDs released during 2013 in case you’re stuck for gift ideas….and more.
Each month, SoundsClassic will bring you the best of the month’s music news from established classical music e-magazine SoundsLikeSydney, and the soon to be launched ClassicMelbourne. Founding editors Shamistha de Soysa in Sydney and Suzanne Yanko in Melbourne realised that the two cities share a great number of performances, as well as classical music news which is of universal interest. They also noted that numerous concert goers travel between the two cities for work and for leisure. They decided to share their passion for all things classical – musically speaking – in this newsletter, and with you, our readers. SoundsClassic is our ‘Tale of Two Cities’ in music.
As well as news reviews, interviews and links to features from Australia and the wider world of classical music, there will be special offers of CDs and concert tickets to subscribers of SoundsClassic.
So sign up through the box on the top right hand side of this page and bring your friends along as well.
We hope you enjoy this debut newsletter. Our next newsletter will be out at the end of January.
