Stefania Robu Receives SYO Concerto Opportunity
Piano Plus Australia, in collaboration with the Sydney Youth Orchestras (SYO), is delighted to announce that 12-year-old pianist Stefania Robu from Melbourne, Victoria, has been selected to perform a concerto movement with the SYO’s Peter Seymour Orchestra, under the baton of Stephen Williams.
This opportunity will be during the SYO Armidale camp held in late April and is the result of Stefania’s performance of Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto No.1 as part of her enrolment in the Autumn Piano School 2025. Stefania, who began her piano studies at age five, has already achieved remarkable accolades, including first place in the Schimmel Pianoforte Award. Currently, she is studying with renowned pedagogue Coady Green.
Her upcoming performance with the SYO not only highlights her exceptional talent but also underscores the commitment of Piano Plus Australia and SYO to nurturing young Australian musicians.
Autumn Piano School 2025 promises to be an exceptional gathering for piano enthusiasts, welcoming participants of all ages and skill levels and offering them the chance to learn from some of Australia’s leading pianists and educators. With a comprehensive program that includes daily workshops, seminars, master classes, and optional private lessons, APS 2025 is designed to deepen participants’ skills and foster a greater passion for the piano.
