Streamed Shakespeare Releases Henry IV Soundtrack

Streamed Shakespeare, is a new independent online theatre company based in Sydney, under the artisitic direction of  Holly Champion, founded at the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

Since then, the company has produced we have produced well over a dozen full online Shakespeare plays as either staged readings or fully rehearsed productions, as well as talk shows and podcasts, an original comedy web series, and more.  Streamed Shakespeare has already released one album by its ‘resident’ (Cologne-based) composer, Paul Bremen, and now  announce the release of their latest album by Bremen, HENRY IV: A SYMPHONIC SUITE. 

This soundtrack album is based on Bremen’s original digital orchestral score for the recent live streamed production HENRY IV PARTS ONE AND TWO, directed by Sydney-based actor/director Haki Pepo Olu Crisden. Crisden envisioned Shakespeare’s classic coming-of-age tale as an epic space opera inspired by Star Wars, complete with digitally animated spaceship dogfights, laser battles and intergalactic rebellionThe album is being released on Bandcamp to coincide with the release on YouTube of the Video-On-Demand version of the show, which premiered live online in April 2021.

The ten tracks are performed by Rhiannon Rees – vocals, Laura Adkins – oboe, cor anglais, Veit Steinmann – cello, beforeman – beats, David Owen (1712–1741) – composition, John Ceiriog Hughes (1832–1887) – lyrics
