Sydney Symphony Orchestra Free Digital Concert
The Sydney Symphony Orchestra has released a digital recording Simone Young Conducts Great Romantics with Chief Conductor Designate Simone Young, available free on the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s website.
The programme opens with Australian composer Paul Terracini’s brass attack, before floating onto the heavenly melodies of Mahler and Fauré. A contemporary piece by Michael Daugherty slices up the pace before the operatic intensity of Puccini and Mascagni. The performance was recorded at the Sydney Town Hall in line with NSW Public Health Orders.
