Sydney’s Inaugural Classical Guitar Festival Launches This Week

Sydney has a new music festival and this one is dedicated to the classical guitar! Sydney’s inaugural Classical Guitar Festival kicks off next Thursday 16th November and runs till Sunday 19th November.

There are eight concerts featuring luminaries of the classical guitar world aong them, Guitar Trek, Australia’s most respected guitar ensemble, French super star Thibaut Garcia, Spanish guitar legend, Jose Maria Gallardo Del Rey and Russian-born virtuoso and Head of Guitar at the Sydney Conservatorium, Vladimir Gorbach, the Mimi Duo, the Sydney Guitar trio, featuring Raffael and Janet Agostino with Richard Charlton, Rory O’Donoghue and the Bradley Kunda Trio.

There are also talks, masterclasses, exhibits and demonstrations. The events are presented at the Mosman Art Gallery and the Utzon Room of the Sydney Opera House.
