The idea of North travels east to double bay
There is a dynamic new live music venue in Sydney and it seems like the perfect venue to soak in the lucent sounds of a capella quartet The Idea of North. The Blue Beat Bar and Grill in Double Bay will feature TION in mid-March, fresh from their South East Asian tours – Laos and Thailand in January, and Singapore in February. Later in the year it’s the Adelaide festival the ACT and regional tours.
The Blue beat Bar and Grill is the brainchild of Christopher Richards and Nicholas Rice. Rice is a venue, promotions and entertainment consultant. Richards has been manager and co-owner of the city icon The Basement.
Rice says: “We think Sydney needs, and deserves, a venue that’s of its time, and caters for reasonably discerning audiences, in a way that puts the music centre-stage…..But you might also just want to call in for a late-night drink or an after-theatre tapas and a place to talk.”.
Easy parking, a suburban venue, good food and great music means you no longer have to trek into the city and stress over elusive and costly parking to enjoy a quality evening out.
