The Sydney Consort Good Friday Concert
The Sydney Consort invites you to its traditional concert on Good Friday.
For the first time in Australia, the ensemble will present a religious work for three voices and strings by 18th century Maltese composer Girolamo Abos. His powerful and moving composition, Stabat Mater for 2 sopranos, alto, strings & basso continuo paints a picture of the Roman Catholic Holy Week liturgy during his time.
The programme also includes reflective music for the Passiontide, François Couperin Troisième Leçon De Ténèbres À 2 Voix and JS Bach’s O Lamm Gottes Unschuldig.
