The Wagner Society of NSW: Music By Wagner And Strauss
The Wagner Society of New South Wales presents a Concert of Wagner and Strauss featuring dramatic soprano Mylinda Joyce, dramatic mezzo-soprano Tania Ferris and baritone Robert Beasley accompanied by pianist Chris Cartner.
Mylinda Joyce is being supported by the Wagner Society in Vienna while she undertakes coaching in the performance of vocal music by Wagner and Strauss. Tania Ferris has performed for the Melbourne Wagner Society and was the actress in Strauss’s Capriccio for Opera Australia. Robert Beasley was a chorus member in Opera Australia’s recent production of Faust and is performing in the current production of Aida for Opera Australia. Chris Cartner has been a repetiteur for Opera Australia, is currently Assistant Chorus Master for Sydney Philharmonia and runs the Resonance Concerts and Events series.
The concert will be followed by afternoon tea.
All welcome: $20 members and $25 guests.
The concert will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting of the Society which is open to members only.
