Thomas Gaynor Performs In The Sydney Consort’s Annual Organ Recital
The Sydney Consort presents its annual organ recital featuring New Zealand born organ virtuoso, Thomas Gaynor.
Winner of the Saint Albans International Organ Competition, the Third International Bach-Liszt Organ Competition in Erfurt/Weimar, Germany, the Sydney International Organ Competition and the Fort Wayne National Organ Playing competition, as well as being a prizewinner in the Miami and Tokyo-Musashino International Organ Competitions, Thomas Gaynor is rapidly making his mark on the organ scene around the world. In this concert he will perform music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Felix Mendelssohn, Charles – Marie Widor and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Every year, St Augustine’s Church celebrates the English pipe organ in the beautiful setting of the church. This is a fundraising event for the restoration of the 1886 William Hill heritage instrument.
