Verdi’s Don Carlos Screens At Palace Cinemas
Captured live in performance from the Opéra Bastille, Paris on 19 Oct 2017, this new production of Verdi’s Don Carlos stars Jonas Kaufmann, Sonya Yoncheva and Elīna Garanča in the headline roles. Ildar Abdrazakov (whose Boris Godounov will be presented in cinemas in July), Ludovic Tézier, Eva-Maud Hubeaux and Dmitry Belosselskiy also star in Opera de Paris’ historical performance. This production features the original French version of this great five-act opera: the version modified by Verdi himself for the work’s first performance in 1867.
