Willoughby Symphony Orchestra Plays For Screening Of Babe
The iconic film Babe will be presented on the big screen and accompanied by a live performance of the score by Willoughby Symphony Orchestra delighting movie buffs and classical music fans alike. The orchestra will be conducted by the composer of the film’s soundtrack, Nigel Westlake, who is Willoughby Symphony’s 2018 Composer in Residence. He is renowned for his musical scores for films such as Paper Planes, Miss Potter and Children of the Revolution.
Babe movie director Chris Noonan will join the film’s composer Nigel Westlake in an intriguing Q&A before the screening.
An Australian classic, the film explores the tragedy, trial and ultimate triumph of Babe’s epic adventure – from country fair prize to the great Sheep-Pig.
