Simon Tedeschi performs ‘Gershwin and Me’
In his upcoming Sydney concert, Gershwin and Me, pianist Simon Tedeschi will perform some of the Gershwin evergreens featured in his recent CD of the same name. Released at the end of last year, the album was in the top ten of the ARIA charts and came in at No 29 in the year’s top 50 classical albums.
With his classical training underlying his ability to cross over into jazz improvisation, Simon puts his unique take on this timeless all Gershwin repertoire which includes ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, ‘I Got Rhythm’, ‘Summertime’ and ‘I Loves You Porgy’.
The concert is part of a six concert series Live at Lunch, curated by flautist Jane Rutter, presented in the Concert Hall on The Concourse, in Chatswood.
