Festival Of Summer Voices Concerts This Weekend
The Festival of Summer Voices is in full swing and tonight, the multiple ARIA Award winning a capella ensemble The Idea of North (TION), Resident Artists at the Gondwana Choirs National Choral School give one of their memorable concerts.
TION alto Naomi Crellin has been spending the last fortnight at the choral summer school and is imoressed with her experience. She says “We work regularly with many young singers all around the country, and it seems the most committed, most enthusiastic, most passionate of those converge on the National Choral School. The choristers have the attitude and poise of seasoned professionals, and yet retain their sparkle and youthful exuberance. The result is a phenomenal level of achievement within two short weeks. It is a career highlight to have the privilege to write for and direct singers who possess such optimism and tenacity.”
