Sydney-based Omega Ensemble has today announced the appointment of Mr Rory Jeffes as incoming Chair.

Violinist Nicola Benedetti will release a new album, Baroque, on the Decca Classics label on 16 July. This is the first album that the Grammy Award- winning Benedetti has released on a period set-up, including gut strings. She is joined by a leading group of freelance baroque musicians, forming the inaugural Benedetti Baroque Orchestra.

The capabilities of a trained voice are often not fully understood by composers, and few opportunities exist to work with skilled experienced solo singers. Halcyon ‘s ‘First Stones 2021’ workshops are, an intensive opportunity to discover more about the voice and its capabilities.
