Opera Australia celebrates its 200th performance of its Gale Edwards production of Puccini’s La Bohème offering with 200 tickets for 200 cents. 

Helen Svoboda, double bass, and Katie Yap, viola, have been announced as Musica Viva Australia’s FutureMakers for 2023.

Jessye Norman – The Unreleased Masters, is a 3-CD set with never-before-heard recordings of one of the greatest classical singers of all time. Available on Decca Classics in late January. it features music by Wagner, R Strauss, Haydn, Berlioz and Britten. 

Sydney Chamber Choir under its director Sam Allchurch, has released its new recording of Heather Percy’s Three Night Songs. Commissioned by ABC Classic, this new work captures images of night from different perspectives, through the poetry of past and contemporary female poets.
