Gavrylyuk And Tognetti in Recital

Two compelling musicians join forces in an evening of extraordinary chamber music. Acclaimed Ukrainian-Australian pianist Alexander Gavrylyuk and visionary violinist Richard Tognetti share the stage in a brilliant and intimate recital.

The program opens with Szymanowski’s Mythes, Op. 30, three evocative tone poems rich in colour and mystery, followed by Prokofiev’s Violin Sonata No. 2, a work of striking lyricism and intensity. The evening culminates in Brahms’ Violin Sonata No. 3 in D minor, a passionate and powerful masterpiece.
