Celebrate The Season With Music At Christ Church St Laurence
Christ Church St Laurence warmly invites you to Advent and Epiphany Carols, as well as Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services at Christ Church St Laurence.
They mark the beginning of preparations for Christmas with an Advent Carols Service on Sunday 1 December that will feature music by composers such as Byrd, Leighton and Mendelssohn, as well as antiphons, responses and hymns appropriate to the season.
Its companion Epiphany Carol Service will be held on Sunday 5 January, also at 6.30pm. The Epiphany service will include music by Lassus, Mathias and Rutter, among others alongside seasonal antiphons, responses and hymns.
For Christmas Eve Midnight Mass (11.30pm) and 10.30am Solemn High Mass on Christmas Day, there is music by Mozart, Rutter and Marenzio, as well as hymns and a large number of descants.
All services are free, everyone is welcome, seating is unreserved and there is accessible entry at the main doors of the church on George Street at Railway Square).
