The Cellists of The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) return to the Independent Theatre’s Sunday afternoon Prelude In Tea series, combining an autumn after noon concert with a delicious afternoon tea.
TMO’s cellists will present a beautiful choice of music from classic chamber master works through to popular classics, all re-orchestrated to accentuate the extraordinary sounds of this unique ensemble. Hear wonderful works by Tavares, Paert, Wagner, Faure, Piazzolla, Ravel and Shostakovich in addition to a few surprises including a re-imagining of Led Zeppelin’s rock classic, Kashmir.
The concert is hosted by TMO’s Principal Cellist John Benz, who will also provide some amusing commentary along the way. T
