Sydney Independent Opera’s ‘Pagliacci’.

Sydney Independent Opera presents Ruggero Leoncavallo’s popular two-act opera  Pagliacci, a story of love, betrayal, jealousy and murder set to some of the most passionate music ever written.

Director Paulo Montoya has been working with a team of very talented and exciting emerging artists including Simon Meadows, Daniel Sloman, Qestra Mulqueeny, Christopher Lewis and Alastair Colgrave in the principal roles as well as a splendid small children’s and adult chorus.

Pagliacci will be performed with a small orchestra in a special transcription by Conductor and Artistic Director, Dr Steven Stanke. The beautiful Independent Theatre in North Sydney will enhance this unusually intimate production of one of the gems of the Verismo genre.
